Refund & Cancellation
We want anyone signing up for a Nimbus Forge Academy programme to feel they made a sound decision. This page explains when a refund is possible, how cancellations work, and what to expect if a course is rescheduled or cancelled by us.
1. Refund eligibility
A full refund is available if you cancel a public cohort enrolment more than 14 calendar days before the cohort kickoff. This aligns with the cooling-off period under the Korean Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
A 50 percent refund is available between 14 and 5 calendar days before kickoff. After this point and once the cohort has begun, refunds are not available except in the specific cases set out below.
Private engagements follow the cancellation schedule agreed in the signed statement of work, which is shared with you before any preparation begins.
2. How to request a cancellation or refund
Send a written request to [email protected] with the subject line “Refund request” and your enrolment reference. The Student Success Manager will acknowledge within two working days.
You do not need to give a reason. We will sometimes ask a single follow-up question to understand whether the cohort can be improved for future learners — answering is entirely optional.
Approved refunds are processed back through the original payment method within 10 working days of approval.
3. Where to send refund requests
Email is the fastest channel: [email protected]. We monitor it on every working day.
If your matter is urgent and time-sensitive — for example you have a personal emergency on the day of kickoff — you can also call our admissions line on +82 2-6952-4180 during weekday office hours.
Our postal address in Seoul is in the footer of every page if you prefer written correspondence.
4. Exceptions and goodwill cases
We will consider goodwill refunds outside the standard schedule for serious medical issues, bereavement, or sudden involuntary loss of employment. Please ask — we are unlikely to refuse a sincere request, but we cannot promise outcomes here in advance.
If we cancel or materially reschedule a cohort, you can choose between a full refund or a deferral to the next cohort, regardless of how close to kickoff the change happens.
Bookmark and lab artefacts you produced before cancelling will remain available to download for 30 days after the refund is processed.
5. Processing timeframes
Acknowledgement of your refund request: within two working days.
Decision and approval (or follow-up question, where needed): within five working days of acknowledgement.
Refund landing back on the original payment method: within 10 working days of approval. Card refunds typically appear within five working days, bank transfers within seven.
6. What this policy covers
This policy covers tuition for public cohorts, single-seat enrolments, and the standard private engagement deposit. It does not cover third-party costs you incur on your own — for example certification exam fees paid directly to AWS or Microsoft, or travel arrangements.
It also does not cover unrecoverable third-party costs for which you specifically asked us to make arrangements on your behalf, such as venue hire for an on-site private workshop. Those costs are itemised on the relevant statement of work.
For any case not explicitly covered here, please ask. We would rather have a five-minute conversation than apply a policy mechanically.
7. Consumer rights under Korean law
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under the Korean Framework Act on Consumers, the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, or any other applicable consumer law.
Where Korean law sets a more generous refund window than this policy, the law applies.
If you believe your statutory rights have not been honoured you can raise the matter with the Korea Consumer Agency or the Fair Trade Commission.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page is changed each time we publish a substantive change.
For enrolments already in flight, the version of the policy in force at the time of your enrolment is the version that applies, unless the change is more favourable to you.
For questions about any change please write to [email protected].
