Cloud Foundations Studio
A six-week onboarding course for engineers and analysts moving from on-premise stacks into AWS, Azure, and GCP fundamentals.
Next cohort: 11 February 2025 · 18 seats
About this programme
The Foundations Studio is the entry point most new learners take before specialising. You will build a small cross-cloud reference workload from scratch, wire it through identity, networking, and storage primitives, and learn how to read official architecture diagrams without panic. Sessions run live on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with a Saturday studio for slower-paced practice.
What is included
- Two live evening sessions per week plus a Saturday studio block
- Hands-on lab environment provisioned per learner — nothing on your laptop
- Architecture vocabulary deck reviewed with a mentor at week three
- Weekly written feedback on a single technical artefact you submit
- Eight scenario-based labs, including one deliberate failure recovery
- Office hours covering interview preparation in week six
Outcomes you can speak to
- Read an AWS or Azure reference architecture and name every component out loud
- Provision a small three-tier workload across two regions without a copilot
- Defend a design decision in front of a working architect and revise it on feedback

Common questions about this cohort
What recent learners said
“The week-three vocabulary review was the part that finally made the AWS console stop feeling like a wall of acronyms. Mira spent forty minutes with me on identity alone.”
“Slower start than I expected. Worth it by week four — the failure recovery lab is the one I still talk about.”
“Honest pacing, no fluff. The Saturday studio is where the course really earns its money.”
